INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT

Gotham Block's fee for investment management services is based on a percentage of the advised assets. Assets Under Advisement are investment assets for which the client receives advice from Gotham Block. These assets may be in accounts at Gotham Block’s custodians or in held-away accounts such as 401(k) accounts, 529 plans, variable annuities, etc.

TAX PREPARATION

For clients engaging Gotham Block on an ongoing basis, we offer tax preparation and filing services. This service is offered as an add-on for the convenience of our clients and is priced separately. The cost depends on the type of tax return required - individual, partnership, estate, etc., and the complexity of the return - schedules C/E/F, employer comp, etc.

ONGOING FINANCIAL PLANNING

Ongoing Financial Planning starts by reviewing your financial life. This review may cover equity compensation, tax planning, insurance, estate, and other topics. As part of the program, we work with you to develop a master financial plan and help you stay financially on track by regularly updating it. The cost depends on the complexity of your financial situation.

In addition to ongoing planning, we offer project-based planning to clients requiring limited-scope engagements. The scope and costs are determined before the start of work. Fees range from $400 to $2,400, depending on the project's complexity.

Discounts

For clients who manage their assets with Gotham Block and whose investment management cost exceeds $5,000, we phase out ongoing financial planning fee dollar-for-dollar.

For example, a client's annual asset management fee is $6,000, and an annual ongoing financial planning fee before discounts is $3,600. Since the client's investment management fee exceeds the threshold by $1,000, the client's financial planning fee is discounted to $2,600.

Another client pays an annual investment management fee of $8,000. Their annual ongoing financial planning fee before discounts is $2,400. Since the investment management fee exceeds the threshold by $3,000, the client's financial planning fee after the discount is $0.
